Anyway, here it goes! We set off to KL on 26 Dec 2014 in Jane's father's car. It was exciting for us because the last time we went KL together was about 4 years ago, before we got married. This time round, we had a little inclusion. So I was really looking forward to it.
So everything was set up and Team KL set off!
We went to Malacca to have our late lunch. Traffic was bad. Hubby bought lots of fakegos!
We had Assam laksa and cendol at Jonker 88. The queue was so long but just nice for us to get a table. First time I had to feed Rachael with hubby carrying Rachael. The space was so cramp! No baby chair and so Jane had to help me carry Rachael after she's done eating.
As you can see, Rachael was already super tired. We then had a super long drive to KL. Bad traffic again. Next time, we must really remember to pray for smooth traffic. Prayer works! We prayed for good weather and weather was very good wherever we went (It was forecasted to be thunderstorm everyday).
Anyway, our hotel was pretty nice. We didn't get our bigger room for the first night because there was power failure in the hotel and it affected those rooms.
Here's the hotel lobby.
Rachael was happily sitting at the seating area waiting for our check in.
Our room for the first night.
It's a very safe room for us because the bed was near the wall. We didn't have to worry about Rachael falling.
Beside the bed on the other side of the room was where the cupboard and sink was hidden by the sliding door. There's also a table as seen from the reflection from the mirror.
After washing up, we went for a very late dinner at a food street. Their fried oysters is the best I've ever tasted!! It's crispy and very savory!
Here's the view from our room on the second day.
The room was only slightly bigger with a window.
We went shopping at Pavilion and had our 许留山 dessert. It's probably not the mango season as the mango was very sour. Rachael had her first taste of mango and very sour ones. Haha! Her reaction was recorded on video.
Nothing much was bought. But we went to have a good foot and shoulder massage. The masseur was really good. Hubby was nice to take care of Rachael while we had our 1.5h massage. The nursing room was packed and locked by 9.30pm and I had to nurse in one of the shops selling maternity stuff. It was really nice of them to allow me to do so twice in their fitting room. Feeling Paiseh, I bought a nursing cardigan from them.
Our happy pill was a great baby throughout the trip. She slept well in the car during long rides. While we were there, I carried her in the carrier and she could sleep in it when she was sleepy.
And then Deb flew over to join us on day 3!
To celebrate Jane's birthday.
We went to have a really good breakfast at a market. It was challenging to have Rachael with us as the market was cramp and hot.
We went Fahrenheit shopping mall thereafter and bought a jersey each. Rachael got a free jersey from the boss! What a blessed babe! Thank God for the blessings and favor!
With that, we ended our 3 days 2 nights trip. It was a great memorable trip for us. Tiring but wonderful trip to have Rachael with us.
I'm looking forward to more trips with Rachael. Thank God for such an easy baby. I pray that she will stay this way. And thank God for protecting us and an awesome trip with awesome friends!
